HOUSE ON ROUTE DE LA DISTILLERIE
OLLON - VD

This house has been built at the bottom of the Ollon orchards. The plot is narrow, with a slight slope of around 10%. It is bordered on one side by a road and on the other by a service road. A rectangular, two-storey above-ground volume with a 2-slope roof and a small excavated area is set perpendicular to the slope of the land. A carport is built upstream, from which a few steps lead to the entrance of the house.
The north-east-facing entrance is protected by a small metal canopy with a green roof.
The living room, facing the view, is 4 steps lower in order to adapt to the terrain and offer a floor void of over 3 meters, as well as a view of the neighboring mountains.
The kitchen and dining room are located in the center of the house, with both spaces facing east-west. The dining room has a large opening that frames a magnificent view of the Dents de Morcles.
The first floor features two bedrooms, the master bedroom with dressing room to the south and the children's bedroom to the north. In the center is a large play area illuminated by a large zenithal window.
Two terraces, one to the east and the other to the south, make the most of the sun's gentle rays.
The house is built with insulating bricks and lined on the outside with wood cladding (stained fir strips laid vertically).
The concrete slab and some load-bearing walls remain exposed concrete. The upstairs framework is made of stained exposed fir.
The first floor is in smoked oak and the second floor in sanded and waxed screed.
