BEX TRAIN STATION
BEX - VD

Renovation of Bex station for SBB.

The project consisted of the renovation of the facades, roofs and a reorganization of the ground floor. By creating an underpass on the south side of the station, the existing kiosk was moved from the right wing of the station to the left wing. This has succeeded in bringing the business closer to passenger flows and creating a local business. The plaster of the façades, which was laid in the 60s, was asbestos, so it was necessary to enclose the building, remove the plaster and replace it with a historic lime plaster.

The copper band that covered the molasse acroterion was removed and the molasses was restored. The molasses of the window frames was also restored. A large part of the carpentry workshop on the ground floor was replaced by a new oak joinery. The tiles of the roof of the central body have been replaced with slate, and all plumbing has been redone in copper. The concept of the station colors is largely based on the colors of the station.
